A guided trip with any one of the Fishful Thinker guides is sure to be the highlight of your season - and a fast track to advancing your angling skills! Fishful Thinker is the only licensed Guide Service for Horsetooth Reservoir, Carter Lake, and the newest member of our stable, Boyd Lake.  These lakes are just minutes from Loveland and Fort Collins, and offer some of the best fishing in Northern Colorado. Horsetooth Reservoir is a beautiful lake known for abundant numbers of smallmouth bass, large trout, and walleyes. Carter Lake is home to trophy walleyes, largemouth bass, and trout. Our newest fishery is Boyd Lake, an impoundment known for its abundant shad population leading to healthy largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleyes, white bass and others. In all cases, your education is our focus! We provide all tackle and professionally equipped boats. Please visit our FAQ page for trip details or more information prior to placing a deposit. We offer 4, 6, or 8 hours of instruction and fishing time for $275, $375, or $475 respectively. Prices are inclusive of up to two anglers; a third angler is $50 extra. Fishful Thinker TV airs 3 times weekly on Altitude Sports and Entertainment (www.altitude.tv for air dates/times). The show features regional content from the Mountain West in an educational and entertaining format. We fish only public waters, and almost all shows are filmed in a single outing. In short, we fish like you fish! Chad can also be heard on FM102.3 ESPN Radio along Colorado’s Front Range, 8-10a.m. Saturday mornings. In addition, Fishful Thinker columns appear in Sportsman's News and on the ‘Net. Past seasons of FTTV are available on DVD in the store.
